Gym Bin | Bemidji, MN
After a severe storm hit Bemidji on June 21, 2025, high winds tore shingles off the roof of the Gym Bin. We responded immediately, tarping the roof that same evening. Upon inspection, we discovered the roof had been leaking for quite some time, moisture had collected in the attic, causing insulation to become soaked and moldy.

Without interior access, our team accessed the attic through the roof itself. We removed nearly a dozen sheets of rotted decking, pulled out the wet insulation, and sopped up the trapped water. Once the space was dry and mold-free, we installed new decking, fresh insulation, and 60 squares of Class 4 Malarkey Vista shingles, durable enough to stand up to Minnesota’s next big storm.
Taco John’s & H&R Block | Bemidji, MN
This commercial property had an aging built-up roof, layers of hot tar and rock over OSB, that hadn’t been maintained in years. Leaks were particularly bad around HVAC units, grease hoods, and behind both storefront signs.

Over 40 hours were spent removing the old tar and gravel. We then installed a fully-adhered membrane roofing system with clean, watertight seams around every transition, parapet, and unit. We also replaced wind-damaged metal panels to restore the roof’s integrity and appearance.
Big Winnie Store | Bena, MN
In November 2023, we worked on a neglected roof at the Big Winnie Store. The flat metal roof had multiple failing waterproofing layers and severe water damage. Inside, we found rotted trusses, widespread mold, and even a massive nest of flies sheltering from the cold.

Working closely with the client’s insurance company, we tore off the damaged structure, reframed the platform, and added slope to the flat section to divert water away from the newly installed trap door. The project concluded with the installation of beautiful red metal roofing on the main store and both nearby cabins, offering reliable protection and a refreshed look.
Headwaters School of Music | Bemidji, MN
Originally told they’d need to replace the flat rubber portion of their roof within a year, the team at Headwaters asked us for a second opinion. After inspecting the roof, we determined that a few targeted patches could extend its life by 7–8 more years, saving the nonprofit significant costs.

We also addressed a steep shingle section that had been repeatedly re-shingled without removing prior layers. This improper method had created thousands of buried nails and hidden damage. As a local company with over 20 years of ministry experience, we understand the needs of nonprofits. We donated additional time to carefully strip all the old shingles down to the decking and install a new roof the right way, ensuring long-term peace of mind and a clean slate for future maintenance.
